In this case study, we explore an exciting project aimed at enhancing the Spotify user experience. Spotify, one of the world's leading music streaming platforms, regularly treats its users to a unique feature known as 'Spotify Wrapped.' This feature provides users with a personalized recap of their music listening habits, highlighting their most-played songs and artists of the year. However, we identified a significant opportunity for improvement: the lack of an all-in-one playlist to enjoy these top songs seamlessly throughout the year. In response, we embarked on a design journey to create a new 'Top Songs' playlist with innovative filtering options and real-time updates. Join us as we delve into the project's journey, objectives, design choices, and potential impact on Spotify users.
As a devoted Spotify user, I eagerly anticipate the annual 'Wrapped' event that unveils my 'Top Songs of the Year' playlist. However, there is one ongoing problem that frustrates me: the absence of an encompassing playlist that consolidates my top songs from each year. I find myself navigating multiple playlists or creating new ones. I'm here to address this inconvenience and explore if others share this concern.
Spotify is leading the way in innovation with a problem-solving framework that empowers users to create their own personalized music experiences.
